Create new virtual card
A virtual payment card, sometimes called a temporary card number, is a credit or debit card number that can be created through a website or mobile app and does not come with a physical card. Virtual payment cards can be utilised for most online purchases or, in this case, used with QR payments. You can set a maximum spend or charge limit on the virtual card to prevent yourself from being overcharged. Some virtual cards will also lock to a merchant to prevent the card being used elsewhere if the merchant is breached. Lastly, you can also close virtual cards online with just a few clicks.
- In this screen, you can link an existing card to a new card or create a new virtual card.
-
Click on the "Add virtual card" then click "Confirm".
-
Wait for a few seconds, and once done, you have your new virtual card ready.
Card settings
In the settings screen, you can set the card's spending limits and enable what the card can do, such as being used to send money to friends/family, or pay a merchant via QR payments or online transactions.
Spending limits on the cards
You can set certain spending limits on cards, either monthly, daily or daily transaction count, to better manage your expenses.
For example, if you use one card for grocery shopping, you can set a weekly limit to control how much you spend on groceries.
- Click monthly limit and set the desired limit for the card selected.
- Set a daily limit.
